This is an office-based position.

Responsibilities

The R&D Operations and Product Manager is a strategic and operational leader responsible for aligning product strategy with execution, optimizing delivery processes, and enabling high-performance Agile execution across the product and engineering organizations. This role partners closely with product, engineering, and program management teams to drive planning, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle. The role also plays a key part in embedding best practices globally, fostering an AI-first culture, and supporting scalable transformation initiatives.

 

Strategic Alignment & Planning:

  • Partner with product leadership to align operational processes with product strategy.
  • Programmatically lead strategic planning cycles including OKRs, annual planning, and roadmap alignment.
  • Develop and implement frameworks for prioritization, decision-making, and resource allocation.
  • Create models for business expansion and staff augmentation / scalable business models

Global Collaboration & Best Practice:

  • Influences without direct authority across multiple product portfolios.
  • Collaborate with global teams to embed operational best practices across regions.
  • Align tooling, systems, and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency worldwide.

Agile Delivery Enablement:

  • Champion Agile principles and practices across product and engineering teams.
  • Standardize and improve product development workflows (e.g., intake, discovery, delivery) to support iterative delivery and rapid feedback.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure consistent execution across teams.
  • Monitor Agile metrics (velocity, throughput, cycle time) to drive continuous improvement.

Tooling & Systems Management:

  • Evaluate and manage product management and Agile delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Ensure consistent and effective use of tools across teams to support transparency and collaboration.
  • Drive automation and integration of systems to reduce manual work and improve delivery speed.

 AI Enablement & Innovation:

  • Embed a culture of AI enablement across Product and R&D Operations.
  • Promote an AI-first mindset in operational processes, tooling, and decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI for process optimization, predictive analytics, and enhanced delivery.

Transformation & Change Leadership:

  • Support large-scale transformation projects across the product and R&D landscape.
  • Lead change management initiatives to support process improvements and strategic shifts.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure clarity, alignment, and engagement during change.

Documentation & Knowledge Management:

  • Promote consistent documentation practices across product and engineering teams.
  • Implement knowledge management systems that support onboarding, learning, and cross-team visibility.

Performance & Analytics:

  • Define and track KPIs to measure product and R&D effectiveness, delivery performance, and team health.
  • Use data and analytics tools to provide actionable insights and support decision-making.
  • Foster a data-driven culture across the R&D organization.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and product lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and driving operational improvements and transformation.
  • Experience embedding AI practices and tools into operational workflows.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and scalable growth.
